Stonewall Negroni – how and where

Stonewall Negroni – The world’s favourite cocktail and our first bottled cocktail with an added twist. Created in 1919 by Count Camillo Negroni in Florence, Italy, the Negroni has become one of the world’s most popular cocktails. A delicious combination of three spirits and orange gives a bitter yet sweet flavour to be savoured.

Flavours

Stonewall Negroni is made with our Stonewall London Dry Gin, homemade vermouth and Italian bitters. Our twist is we leave the mixture to steep with a bunch of Cocoa nibs for a couple of weeks. After a couple of weeks have passed we then add the liquid to a whisky barrel for around 90 days then filter. The results is a woody, smooth and bittersweet cocktail.

Negroni the world’s favourite cocktail.

Stonewall Spirits

The Stonewall Spirits Negroni has another twist... In line with all Stonewall Spirits, we retell the pivotal LGBTQ+ events of the 1969 Stonewall riots encouraging acceptance and equality throughout every community. For every bottle of Stonewall Spirits, we donate money to LGBTQ+ charities.

Prepare - Use an old-fashioned whisky-style glass and place the largest chunk of ice in the glass gentry pour 75ml of Stonewall Negroni slowly over the ice. Take the rind of an orange (skim the surface of the orange with a sharp knife) twist the rind so the zest sprays the drink's surface and place the orange rind in the drink.

If you really want to impress try lighting the orange zest for a extra spectacular effect!

A fight for equality & Acceptance

The Story of the Stonewall Riots

This spirit was born on 28th June 1969 in The Stonewall Inn New York at precisely 1.20am

Stonewall Spirits retells the inspiring events of the 1969 Stonewall Riots and how one night became a pivotal moment for the LGBTQ+ community which still resonates today. We believe it’s important to reintroduce the story to each new generation. We also ask every customer to tell family and friends why they purchased the bottle and hopefully retell themselves the story of the riots. By doing this we hope to not only keep the riot's memory alive but also spread acceptance and equality and reduce homophobia through education.
